Dates
Full date to be entered e.g. 10 January 2020, not 10th January 2020 or 10/01/20.
Time

Percentages
Use the % symbol, for example, 50% rather than 50 per cent.
Measurements
Use metric however as an exception if it’s helpful then use imperial in brackets. For example 30cm (1 foot).
Numbers
- one to nine in text and anything over 10 in numbers
- if it makes more sense to use a number then do so, such as ‘Point 1 of the chart’
- if needing to use a number in a heading use the number
- numbers over 999, use a comma 1,000, 10,000, 1,000,000
Phone numbers
Do not display phone numbers as links as not all devices can make calls. Some browsers may automatically detect that they are phone numbers and display them as links.
